Through the generous donations of the Islamic community and by the grace of Allah (SWT), we were able to construct our current home, a beautiful 14,000 square foot structure on over seven acres of land. Our Facility include a prayer hall, full-time & weekend school, Islamic library, social hall, kitchen, and playground. We have a current membership of about 250 families and an average attendance of 500 muslims at our Juma (friday) prayer. Our Eid prayer attract more than 1500 muslims offering their prayers at our masjid - Alhamdulilah we are growing. In August 2004, we started our full-time elementaryschool, the MALV Islamic Academy - www.malvia.org with about 14 students and three teachers in pre-kindergarten through first grade. Over the past years, the school has steadily grown to almost 100 students in pre-school through fourth grade. Our school is growing rapidly along with the entire Muslim community of the Lehigh Valley. MashAllah, this is both a blessing and a challenge! Our current facility has reached its limit in accommodating the community's religious, educational, and social needs. Sharing space between full-time and weekend school has become increasingly difficult due to a lack of seating, storage, and filling space. Our classrooms are at maximum-capacity and can only comfortable seat 10-15 students. Each Sunday, the social hall and all available space in the facility including the prayer hall is converted to classroom to be able to accommodate about 300 students that comes to our weekend school. Recognizing the need to expand our facilities, we have launched an Expansion project to add additional classrooms, multi-purpose hall, cafeteria, gym/fitness center, and commercial kitchen. These facilities will be available to all muslims in the Lehigh Valley. We need your help to make this a reality. Please donate to our expansion project today!!!! "Those who spend their wealth (in Allah’s Cause) by night and day, in secret and in public, they shall have their reward with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve." The Muslim Association of Lehigh Valley (MALV) was established in early 1980s by a small number of families in the Lehigh Valley area in Pennsylvania. Our first home was about 1500 square foot building in Emmaus, PA that provided worship space for about 100 community members. By 1990, we had outgrown this space and decided to build a brand-new masjid in Whitehall, PA, a busy suburb located at the center of the Lehigh Valley region.
