The expansion of our community that was lunched recently  is almost ready to move to next phase from drawing boards to execution stage. The support of the entire community is the only way to ensure a succesful completion of this project.

The growth of Muslim community in Lehigh Valley over the past few years is a welcome addition. Our prayer hall, social hall and two schools no longer have enough capacity to accommodate the growing needs. This year close to 250 students enrolled in weekend Sunday school. We have purchased movable partitions to convert social hall into temporary classrooms to seat them.

There are almost 90 students enrolled in MALV Islamic Academy with expectation to exceed the number over 100 students in next two years. Full time Islamic school is a magnet for bringing many families to the area. Parents want to send their children to a school that promotes academic excellence and a value centered educational environment. We don’t have facilities for these children like gym, library and cafeteria which are available to public school students. We believe after building mosques, establishing educational institutions is critical to strengthen roots of Islam in United States.

The Prophet established Muslim nation from the “Madinah Center”. We need to follow his example in building a strong community. We need to build a community center where our youth find themselves surrounded by their Muslim peers. We need to provide a platform for our future generation to grow and prosper in the right social atmosphere. Executive committee and board of trustees are just facilitators to help community to achieve this goal. This is your project and we can not complete it without your help. Financial support is crucial but we ask you to be part of the project from planning to execution stage. The next phase of our expansion is now on. We are now about to commence the Phase II of our expansion - Community Center/School Expansion which will include additional classrooms for both the weekend school and the fulltime school and a community center which includes indoor gym

The cost of the project is estimated to be at least $2.00M and we’re counting on your generous contribution. Out of that figure, we have collected only about $120k. We project that each family will contribute $5000.00 to $7,000.00 over 2 years. We’ll be contacting each community member in person to collect these donations so that we can start the project. All donations are tax-deductible as MALV is a non-profit organization under the IRS tax code .
